You Talkin' to Me? It's just a tad too soon for playoff talk

The Eagles have played eight games. Some good, others . . . not. Do we know yet what this team is capable of achieving, or is trying to figure it out just folly? Also, who wins the game today?

You are right. We don't know if the team is good, bad or indifferent. I think today's game is a loss, but I've been wrong two straight weeks now.

I'm done trying to figure the Birds out. It's like this every season. I'm reserving ultimate judgment until the playoffs roll around.

As I look at the schedule, I see an 8-8 team unless there is a drastic turnaround. Playoffs? You're talking about playoffs? Might want to rethink that. I see losses at San Diego, at Atlanta, at New York, vs. Denver, and at Dallas. What do you see?

Re: Playoffs. I mean I want to see if they get in - and, if they do, how far they advance. I think they'll be right around 9-7, 10-6. The ATL doesn't scare me. Neither does Denver at the moment.

First the task at hand:

Birds 28, Chargers 24

OK, let's say San Diego 26, Eagles 13.

San Diego 27, Eagles 20. That's my contribution today.
