Eagles-Cowboys report card

Paul Domowitch's report card on the Eagles-Cowboys game:

RUSHING OFFENSE: Playing catch-up the entire game, the Eagles ran the ball a season-low 10 times. Their 37 rushing yards was their second lowest output of the season (29 vs. Chargers). Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy and Leonard Weaver combined for just 23 yards on 7 carries.

Grade: D

PASSING OFFENSE: Donovan McNabb was sacked 4 times and failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time in 11 games. His receivers dropped at least a half-dozen passes and the protection from his makeshift line was spotty.

RUN DEFENSE: Marion Barber ran for 32, 8 and 18 yards on his first 3 carries Sunday and the Cowboys ground attack never looked back, gashing both the Eagles' nickel and base packages for 179 yards on 32 carries.

Grade: F

PASS DEFENSE: Tony Romo notched his second straight 300-yard performance against the Eagles this year. Eagles' inability to stop the run prevented them from blitzing Romo much. He averaged 9.15 yards per attempt and threw 2 TDs, one the result of yet another blown coverage by a secondary that's had a lot of them this season.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Sav Rocca and the punt coverage team had a good game. He had an impressive 42.3 net average on 7 punts. DeSean Jackson averaged just 4.5 yards per attempt on 2 returns. David Akers missed his only field goal attempt, from 52 yards.

Grade: C-plus

OVERALL: The Eagles' defense was thoroughly dominated by the Cowboys. They gave up a season-high 474 yards, including 179 on the ground, and allowed the Cowboys to control the clock for 40 ½ minutes. It was a classic case of a team getting their lunch eaten.
