Reaching a bowl game for the first time in 3 decades can have its ongoing benefits.
Sources confirmed a report on OwlScoop.com that Temple's football program added two transfers to this year's recruiting class: Brandon Smith, a former Michigan linebacker, and Rod Streater, a wide receiver from Alfred (N.Y.) State junior college.
Both played high school ball in New Jersey. After redshirting in 2008, Smith (New Brunswick) started once and played in 11 games for the Wolverines last season as a freshman. He was rated as the 119th-best prospect in the nation by Rivals.com 2 years ago. Streater, who stands 6-4, played at Burlington Township. Last season, he caught 24 passes for 540 yards and six touchdowns.
