Live like Doctor J

NOW HERE'S A DEAL no hardcore Sixers fan could ever pass up.

For a little more than 2 million bucks, you could walk the halls and play on the same court as Doctor J. If you work in the Philadelphia area, though, the commute could be a challenge.

Julius Erving's home in St. George, Utah, built in 2006, is up for sale. The five bedrooms and six baths are certainly nice, but the basketball court is the jewel.

Doc, who is relocating to Atlanta, had a hoops court built and, naturally, put a Sixers logo on it. You can almost imagine him draining jumpers and hammering home dunks before heading to the basement to watch highlights of the 1983 championship run on the 150-inch TV. There are six televisions in the Daily News sports department. Combined, they don't add up to 150 inches.

Cindy Campbell, of ERA Brokers Consolidated, is the agent. She has spent time with Erving and was impressed with how polite the Good Doctor is.

"People would come up to him and he'd stick his hand out and introduce himself," she said. "His kindness to people is just amazing."

Campbell says the city of St. George was recently rated the safest among areas with a population of 150,000. Sunshine and golf is what they sell.

And now, for an asking price of $2.25 million, a piece of history.

Phil Mickelson is not playing in the Match Play Championship next month, but don't worry, he's not entering a clinic, either.

Instead, Mickelson is taking his family on the vacation that had to be postponed while his wife Amy waged her battle with breast cancer. Instead of teeing it up Feb. 17-21, Mickelson's crew will go on R & R. Their three children will be on spring break.

Generally, rich people going on vacation doesn't merit mentioning. But the fact that Amy Mickelson is up for the trip has to be interpreted as a good sign. *
