* The Colts' 96-yard first-quarter touchdown drive tied for the longest scoring drive in Super Bowl history. The Bears also had a 96-yard touchdown drive in Super Bowl XX.

* Drew Brees' .821

completion percentage is the highest in Super Bowl history.

* The Saints became the first

team in league history to win three postseason games in the same year in which it trailed by seven points or more.

* The Colts had just eight offensive

possessions in the game, the Saints nine.

* Brees had eight touchdown

passes and no interceptions in three playoff games. He threw just two picks in his last nine starts.

* Brees, who had a 114.5 passer

rating against the Colts, had a 100-plus passer rating in eight of his last nine starts.
