Indiana (1975-76) looks better every season. The four (count 'em four) unbeaten UCLA teams coached by John Wooden look even better.

There are just eight teams unbeaten in league play at this stage - Siena, Morgan State, Cornell, Princeton, Kansas, Murray State, Butler and Sam Houston State.

DICK JERARDI'S TOP 15

1. Kansas (22-1): Has won 55 straight at Allen after 75-64 win over Nebraska. Marcus Morris had 20 points, 11 rebounds. Rather large game at reeling Texas tonight.

Story continues below.

2. Syracuse (23-1): Dominated the second half and won going away yesterday at Cincinnati, 71-54

3. Kentucky (22-1): DeMarcus Cousins (19 points, 13 rebounds) had his sixth consecutive double-double in 81-55 win over LSU. A 22-0, first-half run broke it open.

4. Villanova (20-2): Nobody goes unbeaten in the Big East. Lost, 103-90, at Georgetown. Gets no easier tonight at West Virginia.

5. West Virginia (19-3): Da'Sean Butler (33 points, 7-for-7 from the arc) was great in 79-60 win at St. John's. Outscored Red Storm 53-19 in final 17 minutes.

6. Georgetown (17-5): Played a near perfect second half of the first half in win over 'Nova. Shot 56.3 percent and ran wonderful offense for long stretches.

7. Kansas State (19-4): Denis Clemente (30 points) was 6-for-8 from arc as Wildcats beat Iowa State, 79-75. Nobody gives more effort than K-State. Craig Brackins had 29 points and 12 boards for ISU.

8. Cornell (20-3): Trailed for the first time in a month, but still beat Brown, 74-60.

9. Duke (19-4): Held on late to win at Boston College, 66-63. On fumes after playing Thursday night at home followed by Saturday afternoon game in Boston.

10. Tennessee (18-4): Held South Carolina to 27.6 percent shooting in 79-53 win. Wayne Chism had a career-best 30 points.

11. Michigan State (19-5): Playing without Kalin Lucas, Spartans lost at Illinois, 78-73. Demetri McCamey had 22 points and 11 assists for Illini.

12. Northern Iowa (21-2): Not pretty in 55-52 win over Southern Illinois.

13. Purdue (19-3): Off over the weekend. At Michigan State tomorrow.

14. Butler (20-4): Shot 67.6 percent in 74-62 win over Wright State.

15. Wisconsin (18-5): The amazing Bo Ryan is doing it again. Badgers shot 11-for-21 from the arc and crushed Michigan, 62-44.
