Drexel reserve guard Chris Fouch will not play in today's Colonial Athletic Association game against Delaware at the Daskalakis Athletic Center.

The redshirt freshman injured his left shoulder in Wednesday's 75-64 loss at Hofstra and could miss an extended amount of time.

Mike Tuberosa, Drexel's assistant athletic director for communications, said Fouch was evaluated yesterday, but he did not know the severity of the injury.

Fouch was injured when his left arm was tangled with Hofstra guard Nathaniel Lester before intermission. He sat out the second half and finished with five points in 12 minutes.

Not having the Bronx native available is a huge loss for the Dragons (14-12, 9-5 CAA). The CAA rookie of the year candidate averaged 17.4 points in the seven games before the injury.

On Monday, Fouch became the first Dragon to be named CAA co-player of the week and rookie of the week at the same time. He earned that after leading Drexel to two victories last week.

Fouch made 6 of 7 three-pointers to score 28 points when the Dragons defeated Towson, 97-55, on Feb. 3. Three days later, he finished with 17 points in a 73-60 victory over CAA power George Mason.

Fouch ranks second on the team in scoring (10.7 points) and three-point field goal percentage (.404) for the season.
