Reading rallies to beat Richmond

READING — Brian Stavisky and Brandon Pinckney hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning Saturday night to lift the Reading Phillies to a 3-2 victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels in the Eastern League.

Mike Stutes (2-0) gave up one hit in two innings for the win, and Sergio Escalona pitched the ninth to pick up his third save.

Lehigh Valley 6, Scranton 2

MOOSIC, Pa. - Rich Thompson's two-run double in the fourth inning helped the IronPigs beat the Yankees in the International League.

Thompson and Mayberry had two hits and two RBIs for Lehigh Valley, while DeWayne Wise collected three hits.

Starter Brian Mazone went six innings for the win, allowing six hits and two earned runs and striking out five.

Greensboro 4, Lakewood 2

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Leandro Castro went 3 for 4 as the BlueClaws collected 11 hits in a losing effort.

Portland 5, Trenton 2

TRENTON - A three-run sixth inning helped the Sea Dogs win the Eastern League game.
