Philadelphia Development Partnership, a private nonprofit organization that provides microentrepreneurs in the Philadelphia region with support and tools, has named Krista Butvydas Bard, Ron Dutton, and Melinda Emerson to its board. Butvydas Bard is chief executive officer and president of AI Technology L.L.C. and a business consultant since 1985. Dutton is vice president and senior community development officer at Wachovia Corp., Philadelphia. Emerson is founder, president, and CEO of Quintessence Multimedia and was a client of the PDP.
The Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia, has elected Allen Model, Byron Clark, and Carl Cutler to its board of trustees. Model is the cofounder and managing director of Overseas Strategic Consulting Ltd. Clark is the managing director of sales for Mellon's Private Wealth Management Group, a division of Mellon Financial Corp. Cutler is a partner in the Philadelphia office of Brown Bros. Harriman & Co. and chief financial officer for its banking and advisory business.
