  • Skimpier and skimpier: Miley Cyrus performs at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto on Sunday in ever-diminishing garb.

Take her out of the ball game! On June 10, Lady Gaga went to a New York Mets game, used Jerry Seinfeld's box seats, and showed all but nine fingers to an unappreciative (of her) crowd. Friday, it was on to Yankee Stadium! The Gagster - in fishnet stockings, unbuttoned Yanks jersey, lacy brassiere - somehow got into the Yanks' locker room, where superstuds shower. Reports said she swigged whiskey and groped her chest. (Why? No one else would?) Early, wrong rumors said Yanks co-owner George Steinbrenner wanted to ban her, but on Sunday Yankees GM Brian Cashman said Lady G is welcome - as long as she doesn't do icky things. What upset Cashman was not Gag's behavior - but the fact she invaded the sanctum after a loss. Only a matter of time before she descends on Citizens Bank Park and poor, unsuspecting Phillie Phanatic. That would be a bad romance. Roma-ma, Ga-ga ohh la la . . .

He'll see us standing there

That Paul McCartney guy - so o-ver. "When I'm Sixty-Four"? That was, like, four years ago already. So this geezer, he's playing the Wachovia Center Aug. 14. Who cares? Answer: Everybody. Tickets sold out in two minutes - a record. So, he slapped on a second show, Sunday, Aug. 15. Quick . . . buy tickets . . . oops . . . are they gone? We dunno. He hasn't played Wachovia since 2005. (When he was 63.)

Two fewer dream squeezes for us

Perfect persons Orlando Bloom (of Pirates of the Caribbean and so much else) and Miranda Kerr (Victoria's Secret model) are engaged, breaking the hearts of millions who had, justifiably, lusted insanely for both, or either. Three years of courting, three years of fun with wedding rumors. Done now, alas.

Even if you're not sure, say you are

Lady Gaga has both asserted and denied she is straight, gay, bi, hello, or good evening. It's an age-old thing for pop stars. Everybody from David Bowie to Joan Baez to Pete Townshend to Anna Paquin, but being bi - or saying you are - enlarges your fan base and prospective mate pool. The latest to announce bidirectionality is singer Vanessa Carlton ("A Thousand Miles") at Saturday's Nashville Pride Festival. She has dated John Mayer and Third Eye Blind front guy Stephan Jenkins. There's a joke in there someplace. . . . Who's next? Cowboy Woody of Toy Story. Come on, you know it's true. Either him or Buzz Lightyear. . . . Mr. Potato Head?

Tots triumphant in trendy Toronto
