Prospect camp up and running

The Flyers opened their prospect camp yesterday at their practice facility in Voorhees, N.J.

After the players arrived they had off-ice fitness testing. The camp runs until July 12.

The Flyers said that 35 players will participate - 18 forwards, 11 defensemen and six goaltenders. Many of the team's 2010 draft picks will participate.

Part of the camp will include the "Trial on the Isle" on Thursday, in which the players will participate in a triathlon in Stone Harbor, N.J. The competition will include cycling, kayaking and running.

The camp schedule:

Today: Off-ice fitness testing

Tomorrow: Practice, 9:30-10:45 a.m.; scrimmage: 10:45-noon

Thursday: Trial on the Isle, Stone Harbor, N.J.

Friday: Practice, 9:30-10:45 a.m.; scrimmage: 10:45-noon

Saturday: Practice, 9:30-10:45 a.m.; scrimmage: 10:45-noon

Sunday: Practice, 9:30-10:45 a.m.; scrimmage: 10:45-noon

Monday: Scrimmage: 9:30-11 a.m. *
