The Eagles have signed wide receiver Riley Cooper, a rangy fifth-round draft pick from Florida. He signed a four-year contract, the team said Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Cooper, listed at 6-foot-3 and 222 pounds, caught attention in May practices with his big frame and strong hands. At Florida, he had 81 receptions for 1,496 yards and 18 touchdowns in 51 games. In 2009, he was named second-team all-Southeastern Conference.
He will enter training camp behind DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant but could compete with Hank Baskett for a role as a big target, especially near the end zone.
