ER alum George Clooney, whose contribution to television includes the smart but short-lived political satire K Street, will be awarded the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the Emmy Awards on Aug. 29, the Hollywood Reporter says. Clooney is being honored for producing the TV special Hope for Haiti and for raising funds for Hurricane Katrina survivors.

Married ... With Children survivor Christina Applegate and her fiance, Dutch bass player Martyn Lenoble, are expecting their first baby, the actress' rep tells People. Applegate credits Lenoble with helping her to recover after she had a double mastectomy in '08. . . . Ali Larter, 34, who went all sexy-psycho on Idris Elba and Beyoncé in Obsession, is expecting her first baby with her hubby, writer-actor Hayes MacArthur. . . . Blake Lively, John Goodman, Peyton Manning, Emeril Lagasse and Sandra Bullock have shot a public service announcement asking the public to be more vocal about the BP oil spill. "What can you offer?"
