Lincoln Financial Field, home to the Eagles, was charged with critical violations of health requirements at 33 percent of its vendors. According to the report, one location, categorized as "out of compliance," received repeat critical violations for a lack of sneeze guards on a buffet and a hand-washing station.
The Phillies' home, Citizen Bank Park, was cited for critical violations at 29 percent of its vendors. The report stated "a few locations" at the stadium received violations for not having a foot-safety-certified supervisor on hand.
And at one bar location at Wells Fargo Center, home to the Flyers and 76ers, inspectors found proof of mouse and fruit fly infestation. Fifteen percent of the vendors at the arena were charged with critical violations.
Aramark provides food and concession services to all three venues. David Freireich, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia-based company, addressed the report in an e-mail response to The Inquirer.
"Food safety is our top priority," Freireich said in the e-mail. "We have rigorous employee training and quality assurance processes, and we continuously invest to enhance our food safety training, resources and safeguards. Issues in past reports have been addressed, and any time we learn about issues we take prompt action to investigate and remedy all concerns."
Ike Richman, vice president of public relations for Comcast-Spectacor, parent company of the 76ers and Flyers, said Aramark has "always made every effort to maintain the highest of health standards at both of our facilities."
