The hits just keep on coming for Jamie Harris and Kevin Phillip, the Drexel University basketball players charged Monday with robbing a female student at gunpoint last week.

Harris, a starting point guard, and Phillip, a backup forward, were indefinitely suspended yesterday from the Dragons, Drexel officials said in a statement on the team's Web site.

The university has also imposed an interim academic suspension on the pair, who were both on full scholarships and majoring in general humanities and social sciences.

Harris and Phillip, both 21, are charged with burglary, robbery, weapons violations and related offenses for the ham-fisted heist they allegedly participated in July 21.

They each posted $5,000 bail yesterday, according to court records.

"We are disappointed by these allegations," said Dragons coach James "Bruiser" Flint. "Should these allegations prove to be true, we find this behavior to be unacceptable and inconsistent with our program's values and mission."

Police said that the players stole an iPhone from a 21-year-old student inside her apartment on Lancaster Avenue near 36th Street.

Harris and Phillip brandished handguns during the robbery and also demanded cash from the woman, police said.

An area surveillance camera captured footage of them entering and leaving her apartment, police said.

Another Drexel student, Devon Bond, helped Harris and Phillip get into the woman's apartment and pretended that he was also being robbed, investigators said. Bond, 21, was later arrested in connection with the case .

The Dragons' basketball team is now down to nine players, including two incoming freshmen and a returning walk-on.

Harris was Drexel's leading scorer last season, averaging 14.5 points a game. Phillip contributed 2.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
