A coordinated effort

July 30, 2010

As the big day approaches for Chelsea Clinton and fiance Marc Mezvinsky, we can only wonder what's going through wedding planner Bryan Rafanelli's mind.

To shed some insight, the Daily News spoke with local wedding and event planners to find out how they would coordinate such an affair.

Christina Hill, of cHill Weddings LLC, in Germantown, said that she would encourage a historic and classic theme using earth tones, while Charita Hall, executive director of A Platinum Affair LLC, suggests patriotic decor.

Story continues below.

"I imagine her wedding being fun and not what you would expect of the first daughter," Hill said. "Clinton is easygoing, and Chelsea is, too. Her wedding will reflect her fun side, with a touch of class."

Hall suggests centering on the political spotlight of the Clinton family. She described the theme as "American royalty - with plenty of sparkle."

"The color scheme could be silver, white and gold with touches of red and blue," she said.
