A visit to renowned surgeon Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles on Wednesday confirmed what the veteran lefthander said he was told by Phillies doctor Michael Ciccotti: He doesn't need surgery, and while any rehab program likely will sideline him for the rest of this season, he has a chance of working his ailing elbow into shape by the start of spring training.
