Mini Max
Guard Max Jean-Gilles said he now has lost 50 pounds, to 349, since April lap-band surgery.
"I haven't been this light since my first year. I have to get used to it a little bit. All my clothes are falling off," Jean-Gilles said. "It's a burden off my back. Everybody in the league was worried about me eating myself out of the NFL. It's something I don't have to worry about, my weight. Just let me play football. This year is just going to focus on me and my skill."
Jean-Gilles, who said he hopes to lose 9 more pounds, is down another 20 pounds or so from where he was at the end of OTAs.

Couple more roster moves, both involving injuries. Safety Brett Johnson, an Eagle only since they claimed him on waivers from the Bills June 28, was waived with an injury settlement (hamstring), and replaced by veteran safety Antoine Harris, who played the last three seasons for Atlanta. Wideout Kevin Jurovich, the undrafted rookie who idolized Kevin Curtis, also was waived with an injury settlement (quad) after an accidental collision in the first afternoon workout. He was replaced by rookie Jared Perry, who was released by the 49ers earlier this week.
