A former Philadelphia police officer was sentenced to prison yesterday for propositioning a 15-year-old boy and an undercover cop who was posing as a 17-year-old.
Adrian Makuch, 49, was sentenced to 11 1/2 to 23 months in prison followed by seven years' probation, according to his attorney, Gerald Stanshine.
"He has indicated his willingness to abide by any and all conditions that the court has set for him," Stanshine said last night.
Those conditions include psychological counseling and no contact with minors, according to court records.
Makuch, a former member of the police Crime Scene Unit, was arrested Dec. 8 after a yearlong Internal Affairs investigation.
He pleaded guilty in March to charges of unlawful contact with a minor, attempting to lure a child into a motor vehicle and patronizing a prostitute, according to Stanshine.
During the investigation, the 15-year-old boy told police that Makuch had asked him last summer if he could take nude photos of him, according to police.
Also during the investigation, a 22-year-old cop posed as a 17-year-old boy, and he, too, was approached by Makuch with the same proposition and, additionally, was solicited for sex, police said.
