Clearing the record

A column Monday about the Television Critics Association awards gave the wrong first name for author Jon Winokur, who accepted a lifetime achievement award from the TCA on behalf of actor James Garner.

A July 26 story on a letter to President Obama by student Stefan Johnson incorrectly stated that Johnson was the first African American Catholic to be elected student council president at Roman Catholic High School. Johnson's letter made that claim, but at least three other African American Catholics have served as president in recent years. The story also incorrectly identified Johnson's grandfather James Johnson.
