Only 14 episodes were produced, but the show remains one of the most innovative and creative TV offerings.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: A kid (Zachary Gordon) tries to make wimpy cool.
The film would have been better if it had been more of a literal translation of the book - in style. If it had been an animated feature, that could have tempered some of the irritations of the main character.
There are a few good supporting characters who are interesting because they are so weird. They just don't build enough of a buffer to cushion the obnoxious nature of the central character.
As it is, Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the movie world's answer to a 98-pound weakling. (Grade: C)
