The Kids Are All Right Deft social satire starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as a lesbian couple whose teenage children find their Sperm Dad (Mark Ruffalo). Winter's Bone A spare, powerful mystery set in the Missouri Ozarks, about a 17-year-old girl (Jennifer Lawrence) who goes looking for her father and runs into meth dealers and wary, ornery kin in the process. 1 hr. 40 R (violence, profanity, drugs, adult themes) - S.R.

Despicable Me **1/2 Affable, inconsequential animated feature about an arch arch-villain (voice of Steve Carell) whose hard heart is softened by a trio of orphans who interfere with his nefarious plan to steal the moon.
