James E. McErlane has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. The Judicial Conduct Board investigates allegations of ethical misconduct against Pennsylvania judges. McErlane is senior partner at Lamb McErlane P.C., West Chester, and practices in the areas of banking and finance, real estate, municipal law, and governmental regulations.

Mt. Airy USA, a nonprofit community-development corporation serving that neighborhood, has appointed three new members to its board:

Kareem Thomas is vice president and senior business banker at Susquehanna Bank.

Amanda Steinberg is creator of DailyWorth.com.

Howard Treatman is cofounder of Harvest Equities.

Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia, has appointed four new members to its board of trustees:

Gerianne Tringali DiPiano is the founder, president, chief executive officer and chairwoman of the board of directors of FemmePharma Global Healthcare Inc.

David F. Girard-diCarlo was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Austria in 2008 and is a member and shareholder of the international law firm Cozen O'Connor, Philadelphia.

John J. Griffin Jr. was St. Joe's men's basketball head coach from 1990 to 1995 and is president and cofounder of Zeke Capital Advisors L.L.C., Berwyn.

Joseph J. McLaughlin Jr. is chairman and chief executive officer of the Haverford Trust Co.

Reginald N. Rabjohns has been appointed chairman of The American College Foundation board, Bryn Mawr. Rabjohns has been a managing partner with New England Financial since 1997.

Louis W. Fryman has been elected to the board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Foundation, which supports the nonprofit organization that provides mentoring for children. He is a shareholder at Conrad O'Brien P.C., Philadelphia.

Gino J. Benedetti, cochair of the Labor and Employment Group and a partner in the Litigation Department at Dilworth Paxson L.L.P., Philadelphia, has been elected chancellor of The Justinian Society of Philadelphia, a nonprofit organization of lawyers of Italian ancestry.

George M. Riter has been elected to a third three-year term on the board of trustees of Germantown Academy, Fort Washington. He also was selected for the board's executive committee and was named cochair of the school's development committee. Riter is a managing partner of the Fort Washington-based law firm Timoney Knox L.L.P.
