Parillon rose above the challenge.
"My friends didn't think I could do it, but I wanted to try it," Parillon told us yesterday. "I surprised myself."
After completing the contest Parillon decided to go for the triple crown, performing the same at Drinker's Pub (1903 Chestnut) and then several days later at Drinker's Tavern (124 Market) where she did it in 9 minutes.
"I have a huge appetite, which nobody ever believes since I'm a size 0," said Parillon, who is 5-9 and says she weighs about 120. She's won free drinks for a year, up to $500, at all Drinker's locations, which are all offering $10 all-you-can-eat taco parties Sunday.
"When I was doing it, I was just focused. I didn't realize how big of a deal it was," she said. "It's nice to get compliments on eating, which is something I love to do," Parillon said.
What won't she eat? "I hate grapefruit, pickles and olives," she said.
Snoop signs cognac today
You may have thought Snoop Dogg was loyal to Tanqueray, the brand he name-drops in "Gin and Juice," but the weed-loving West Coast rapper will be signing $21.99 bottles of Landy Cognac from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the Wine & Spirits store at 1218 Chestnut St. in Center City. Snoop plays the TLA (334 South) tonight.
