A young man and two boys were arrested yesterday and charged with vandalizing a state Department of Transportation facility in Hunting Park in the early-morning hours of Aug. 3, state police said.

Khalil Glover, 19, a 14-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy were charged with vandalizing the facility, on Ruffner Street near Pulaski Avenue, causing up to $200,000 worth of damage, police said.

Glover and the boys allegedly commandeered a PennDOT truck and drove it around the yard, ramming a garage door, a brick wall and two parked vehicles.

A crew cab pickup truck, worth $40,000, was totaled, officials said at the time.

"These kids caused so much damage just on a little joy ride," said Trooper Danea Durham, a state police spokeswoman.
