Tattle: No-Wynn situation for Hilton after latest bust

FOLLOWING HER most recent arrest (this time for exiting an Escalade reeking of marijuana and shortly thereafter dropping a little bag of coke from a purse she claims wasn't hers), Paris Hilton was banned yesterday from two Wynn resorts on the Las Vegas Strip (Wynn Las Vegas and Encore).

Presumably she is still welcome at the Las Vegas Hilton. Maybe even the Paris.

And her boyfriend Cy Waits, who was also arrested in his pot-mobile, is now out of work.

He was "separated" from his job after less than a week as top managing partner of two Wynn nightclubs, Wynn Resorts spokeswoman Jennifer Dunne said in a statement.

Charges have not yet been filed against Paris or Cy. She is to be arraigned Oct. 27 and would face probation if convicted.

A police report made public yesterday said the suspected butt of a marijuana cigarette was found in the Escalade in which the couple was stopped in front of the Wynn Las Vegas.

Waits was driving. He had bloodshot eyes, smelled of alcohol and wobbled as he failed two field sobriety tests, the arresting officer said.

Isn't that every driver in Las Vegas? The only thing missing from this scene being in "The Hangover" is Mike Tyson's tiger.

Waits allowed blood to be drawn when he was booked into the Clark County jail in downtown Las Vegas, Officer Bill Cassell said. Results won't be released until the case reaches court.

Wonder if there will be a protest rally: "Free Waits! Free Waits!"

'Swan' spotted in Venice

Darren Aronofsky's "Black Swan" - starring Natalie Portman - made its world premiere as the opening film at the Venice Film Festival's 67th edition yesterday, bringing the American director back to the Lido, where "The Wrestler" won the top Golden Lion prize two years ago.

"The more I looked into the world of ballet, I actually started to see all these similarities to the world of wrestling," Aronofsky said at a news conference. "They both have these performers that use their bodies in sort of extremely, intense physical ways. Their entire performance is based on intense physicality."

And those tag-team body slams in "The Nutcracker" are awesome.

Michael Douglas, who was recently diagnosed with throat cancer, said during an appearance on David Letterman's "Late Show" that he just finished his first week of radiation and chemotherapy.

He said a biopsy found he had late, stage-four cancer, "which is intense, and so they gotta go at it."

However, Douglas said, the cancer remains above the neck and that means expectations are good, with an 80 percent or better chance of recovery.

Letterman told Douglas that his voice didn't sound like he has throat cancer.

"Because I'm on stage," Douglas replied.

Douglas' wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, told People the most difficult part of the ordeal has been seeing her husband fatigued "because Michael is never tired." Zeta-Jones, who has two children - Dylan, 10, and Carys, 7 - with Douglas, said she was furious that doctors didn't detect the tumor earlier. Douglas said he spent months seeking a cause for throat and ear pain.

"These things sometimes just don't show up," he said.

You can be sure Douglas had the best health care, but no matter how diligent you and your doctors are it helps to have a little luck.

* Here's another in a series of Internet news nuggets emphasizing the ridiculous amount of attention given to some celebrities.

At 7:16 yesterday morning, ContactMusic reported "Zsa Zsa Gabor Slips Into Unconsciousness."

At 10:01 yesterday morning, HispanicBusiness.com reported, "Zsa Zsa Gabor Back in Hospital, Stabilized"

(We don't think we need to mention that Zsa Zsa is neither a musician nor a Hispanic businesswoman.)

Zsa Zsa brought a certain kitschy elegance to Hollywood with her accent, jewels and love affairs, but she's 93 now, ailing, and has been out of the public eye for years. We really don't need minute-by-minute updates on her condition.

* Billboard.com reports that when Yoko Ono performs at L.A.'s Orpheum Theater on Oct. 1-2, one of her special guests will be Lady Gaga.

Along with Gaga, who will share the stage with Plastic Ono Band on Oct. 2, Iggy Pop, the RZA, Perry Farrell and Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore will all contribute to the showcase's two-night run.

Other guests for the Los Angeles shows include Carrie Fisher, Vincent Gallo, Haruomi Hosono, Harper Simon, Tune-Yards, Nels Cline and Mike Watt. Plastic Ono Band will play under the musical direction of Ono's son, Sean Lennon.

A week after the L.A. performances, Ono will celebrate what would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday with a series of peace-promoting events and a Plastic Ono Band concert in Iceland on Oct. 9.

Paging Bjork.

* Today may be Sept. 2, 2010 everywhere, but in some places it's "90210 Day" - the one day this century that the date will line up perfectly with the famous California ZIP code.

How quickly we forget the baby who was born on 8/9/10 at 11:12:13.
