Tues. Pa. girls' roundup: Volgraf scores 4 in Springside win

Nicole Volgraf was the difference for Springside in its 7-3 nonleague field hockey win Tuesday at Germantown Friends.

The attack wing scored four goals, all in the first half, as Springside took a 5-1 lead.

Volgraf has signed a letter of intent to attend Indiana University.

Libbie Maine and Ali DiFelice each added a goal and two assists for Springside, who also got a goal from Angela Cascio.

In other nonleague games:

Grace Boston's goal with 11 minutes, 17 seconds left in the game gave Cardinal O'Hara a 2-2 tie at Garnet Valley.

Steph Fratoni also scored for the Lions. Eleanor Kirby and Ashly Razzino scored for the Jaguars.

Ellie Andersen scored twice off passes from Avery Safford to give host Shipley a 2-1 win over Germantown Academy.

Dominique Gambone scored twice for host Upper Merion in a 4-1 win over Abington.

Friends' Central goalie Jess Cooper posted eight saves to preserve a 2-1 win at Bishop McDevitt.

Host Archbishop Ryan needed an overtime goal from Kelly Anderson to beat rival Washington, 3-2.

Kerri Flood and Raphaela Rocha also scored for the Ragdolls.

Alayna Brown had a goal and an assist for Souderton in its 2-0 win at Neshaminy. Abby Gabriel also scored for the Indians.

Amy Coughlin had four goals and Elizabeth Fedele added three assists for North Penn in its 5-1 win at Plymouth Whitemarsh.

Emily Gallegher scored twice and Gretchen Guaglianone added a pair of assists for Wissahickon in a 7-0 win at Lansdale Catholic.

Junior Kayla Kenney scored half of Central Bucks South's goals in a 6-0 win at Pennsbury. Teammate Colleen Kempf added a pair of goals for the Titans.

Ridley got first-half goals from Liz Carise, Ally Fiorelli and Lauren Gibbons in a 3-1 win over visiting Norristown.

Akela Lacy's second goal, nine minutes into overtime, gave host Baldwin a 2-1 win over Academy Park.

Pat Miller's goal with 10 minutes left in the second half gave Central Bucks East a 2-1 win at Council Rock South.

Kristen Nichols scored all three goals for Lower Moreland in its 3-1 win at Villa Joseph Marie.

Penn Charter's Ali Rosen had four goals in a 13-0 win over visiting George School.

Katie Kelly scored twice to pace Archbishop Carroll to a 3-0 win at Notre Dame.

Catholic Academies. Caroline Troncelliti scored a pair of first-half goals to get Notre Dame off to a good start in a 4-0 win at Gwynedd-Mercy.
