Absolutely. The Trust is basically saying Bush didn't exist in 2005, and if that actually had been the case, then Young would have won hands down. It's a little late, but they should give Young a chance to hoist that trophy. But really, Young's got bigger things to worry about these days than what happened when he was in college.

If the Trust wants to pretend Bush didn't exist, that's fine, but I don't think you can guarantee that Young would have won the award without Reggie around. Matt Leinart finished third that year. He won the award the year before. It's possible that a portion of the Bush/USC voters would have thrown their support to Leinart instead.
Regardless, if I'm Young or Leinart, I wouldn't want Bush's hand-me-downs.

There goes poor Matt Leinart getting hosed again. First the Cardinals, and now potentially the Trust. The guy is having a rough go.
And how pompous and egotistical are the Heisman Trophy people that there is "The Trust" in the first place. Please.

Here's what I want to know: Who pays for FedEx to ship the thing back? And if Bush refuses to return it, will the Trust dispatch a platoon of shady Repo Men to storm the Bush compound and retrieve the hardware?

What the heck do you do with a Heisman anyway? Stick it on your mantel? On your dresser? It reminds me of a giant Electric Football player. It's so unwieldy and unattractive, I fully expect to find one in a yard sale someday.
