Here are some of the best linebacker units in Eagles history:

1960: Chuck Bednarik, Chuck Weber, Maxie Baughn, and Bob Pellegrini dominated offenses all season and led the Birds to a championship victory over Green Bay.

1980: Bill Bergey, Frank LeMaster, John Bunting, and Jerry Robinson helped the Birds finish first in the NFL in points allowed and reached the Super Bowl.

1991: Behind Seth Joyner, William Thomas, and Byron Evans, the Eagles finished first overall in both run and pass defense, and Joyner was named the NFL player of the year by Sports Illustrated.

Notable performances:

William Thomas had seven interceptions in 1995.

Seth Joyner returned two interceptions for TDs in 1992, and turned fumble recoveries into touchdowns three times in his eight-year Eagles career. He also leads all Eagles linebackers with 37 career sacks.

Frank LeMaster racked up a team-record 114 yards on two interceptions on Dec. 21, 1975, against the Redskins.

Garry Cobb had four sacks on Oct. 5, 1986, against the Falcons.
