Linebackers at a glance

Posted: September 11, 2010

Here are the Eagles' linebackers at a glance:

Akeem Jordan, 6-foot-1, 230 pounds, James Madison, 4th year

An undrafted free agent who made the team off the practice squad, Jordan has played multiple positions, and coaches love his versatilty.

Stewart Bradley, 6-4, 258, Nebraska, 4th year

Smart, fast and big, Bradley can be a defensive force, if he remains healthy.

Ernie Sims, 6-0, 230, Florida State, 5th year

He has a nasty attitude and speed but is small. His aggressiveness could be an asset or used against him.

Omar Gaither, 6-2, 235, Tennessee, 5th year

This versatile veteran knows how to play all three linebacker positions and would likely be the first man up in the event of any injuries.

Keenan Clayton, 6-1, 229, Oklahoma, rookie

The speedy former safety has shown good coverage skills, but he is small. He shows up better in games than in practice.

Moise Fokou, 6-1, 236, Maryland, 2d year

He lost the starting strong-side linebacker job after one day of training camp and doesn't have a clearly defined role.

Antwan Barnes, 6-1, 251, Fla. International, 4th year

Acquired from the Baltimore Ravens to add depth, he can also play defense end.

Jamar Chaney, 6-0, 242, Mississippi State, rookie

He was the fastest linebackers at the rookie combine, but is low on the depth chart behind the team's veterans.
