Fringe trio Three intriguing theatrical offerings, courtesy of the Fringe Festival (call 215-413-1318): The troupe Parade Ground Unit fused together works by Samuel Beckett, Gertrude Stein, and Bertolt Brecht to create Judith/Dresses/Joe, which turns out to be about a dysfunctional marriage ravaged by historical forces. The show goes on at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walnut Street Theatre's Independence Studio on 3, 825 Walnut St., and continues with performances at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15. . . . Jean Giraudoux's tale of bohos battling oil-company stuffed shirts, The Madwoman of Chaillot, is presented by the Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Walnut Street Theatre's Studio 5, 825 Walnut St., and continues with shows at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Tickets are $20. . . . The intrepid EgoPo Classic Theater stages a site-specific production of Peter Weiss' Marat/Sade at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Rotunda, 40th and Walnut Streets, continuing with shows at 8 p.m. Monday, and Wednesday through Saturday. Monday

Out of the East Hailed as one of China's preminent experimental artists, the Hong Kong-based Danny Yung is known for mixing drama, film and conceptual art. In his Journey to the West, Yung looks at Chinese opera stars who have brought their art form past traditional borders. The Live Arts Festival show, performed by Shangping Xiao, trained in Kun and Beijing Opera methods, goes on at the Roberts Theatre, 480 S. Broad St., at 6 p.m. Monday, 8 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $25 to $30. Call 215-413-1318.

Dancer's life In Cedric Andrieux, choreographer Jérôme Bel creates an eponymous autobiography for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and Lyon Opera Ballet performer, with Andrieux dancing excerpts from works by Trisha Brown, Cunningham, and Bel while talking about the less-glamorous side of the terpsichorean trade.
