Pa. Girls: Central Bucks South shows why it's No. 1 in field hockey

After a slow start, Central Bucks South showed why it is the No. 1-ranked field hockey team in The Inquirer's Southeastern Pennsylvania Top 10 on Friday.

The Titans (8-0-1 overall, 4-0-1 league) scored all four of their goals in the second half of a 4-0 Suburban One Continental win at rival Central Bucks East.

Colleen Kempf scored twice, and Kayla Kennedy and Madison Harding added goals.

The Titans were coming off a scoreless tie against North Penn on Thursday.

North Penn also remained unbeaten with a 7-0 win at Quakertown as Amy Coughlin and Juliamae Marger each scored twice for the Maidens (6-0-1, 4-0-1).

Suburban One American. Sam Marino and Maddie Smith scored two goals apiece for Wissahickon in a 7-1 win at Upper Merion.

Nikki Gustafson scored with 1 minute, 24 seconds left in the first half for Upper Dublin in a 1-0 win at Upper Moreland.

Catholic. St. Hubert scored four second-half goals to earn a 4-1 win at Little Flower. Tori Canelli scored the first and last goals for the Bambies (1-1).

Host Cardinal O'Hara scored seven first-half goals in a 10-0 win over Archbishop Ryan. Emily Creighton and Steph Fratoni led the way with a pair of goals each for the Lions (8-0-1).

Inter-Ac. Katherine Kneizys and Paige Marshall scored first-half goals to give Episcopal Academy the lead for good in a 3-1 win at Springside. Alana Dumas added a second-half goal.

Victoria Monzo scored off a corner with 22:10 left in Notre Dame's 1-0 win at Germantown Academy.

Ches-Mont. Garnet Valley won at Bishop Shanahan, 3-1, behind goals from Alyssa Coombs, Katie Keyser, and Ashley Razzano.

Pioneer Athletic. Megan Loughery scored the game-tying and winning goals in host Phoenixville's 3-2 win over Spring-Ford. Loughery's first goal came with 12:05 left to make the score 2-2, and her winning goal came off a deflection of a pass from Shannon McEarlean with 4:03 remaining.

Emily Rodenberger's goal off a corner with 6:03 left gave Upper Perkiomen a 4-3 win over visiting Boyertown.

Central. Meghan Connors scored twice for host Conestoga in a 4-1 win over Springfield (Delaware County).

Catholic Academies. Sacred Heart put 31 shots on goal and three players found the right spot in a 3-0 win over visiting St. Basil. Kerri Crumlish, Kim Hermann and Hannah Rush scored for the Lions (5-3).

Nonleague. Casey Sklow scored twice in Shipley's 5-0 win at Lower Merion, her fourth and fifth goals of the season.
