In Nashvlle, Ravens quarterback Steve McNair passed for 373 yards and three TDs in a 27-26 win over the Titans on Nov. 12, 2006. "That's why you play this game," McNair told the AP afterward. "You're a competitor."
At home, Jaguars wide receiver Torry Holt caught five passes for 101 yards in a 23-20, overtime victory over the Rams on Oct. 18, 2009. "If there was any game on the calendar that I wanted to get, it was this one," Holt told the Florida Times Union after the game.
Good reunions
In Atlanta, Eagles backup quarterback Michael Vick passed for 48 yards and a TD and rushed for 17 yards and a TD in a 34-7 victory over the Falcons on Dec. 6, 2009. "I'll never forget this day," Vick said afterward.
At home, Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey caught four passes for 37 yards and a TD in a 48-27 victory over the Giants on Oct. 18, 2009. "I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel a little bit better than [winning against] some teams," Shockey told the Times-Picayune after the game.
At home, Browns running back Jamal Lewis gained 64 yards on 23 carries and scored a TD in a 27-13 win over the Ravens on Sept. 30, 2007.
At home, Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington passed for 251 yards and two TDs in a 20-14 loss to the Jets on Sept. 7, 2008.
Ugly reunions
In Dallas, Seahawks running back Julius Jones managed just 37 yards on 11 carries and fumbled the ball away once in a 34-9 loss to the Cowboys on Nov. 27, 2008.
In Philadelphia, Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens grabbed just three passes for 45 yards in a 38-24 loss to the Eagles on Oct. 8, 2006. "The crowd was loud," Owens said afterward. "I remember when I was here, they loved me. It was the opposite."
In Philadelphia, Broncos safety Brian Dawkins committed a costly penalty, got blocked on a blitz, and missed a coverage in a 30-27 loss to the Eagles on Dec. 27, 2009. "I've been in a lot of big games before, but it was tough to control my emotions, real tough," Dawkins said after the loss.
