A Bucks County man was sentenced Thursday to 15 months in federal prison for defrauding mortgage lenders, prosecutors said. Frank J. Dattilo, 64, of Holland, pleaded guilty to two counts of mail fraud for a scheme to arrange mortgage loans through falsified documents for people with poor credit or low incomes.
Dattilo and two codefendants, Michael Giello and Jason Megow, among other things overstated borrowers' income and reported false rental histories to make them appear more creditworthy. The codefendants also pleaded guilty. Giello was sentenced to a year and a day in prison, while Megow was sentenced to one day in prison and five years on probation. All were ordered to pay a total of $117,673.66 in restitution. - Robert Moran
