Eagles' Vick working on Reid's time

ESPN ignited a "Where's Waldo" search for Michael Vick after reporting that he was not at the Linc as players began taking the field for warmups.

Apparently, Falcons owner Arthur Blank went looking for Vick to say hello to his former franchise icon, but was told Vick hadn't arrived.

Eagles coach Andy Reid later said he had told Vick to show up at 12:15, less than an hour before kickoff, and Vick did that. Vick and Blank eventually did meet up in the tunnel before the game.

Reid kept Vick in the locker room, though he was listed as the third quarterback, technically an inactive position but usually one that entails standing on the sideline in uniform. If Vick had gotten into the game before the fourth quarter, neither starter Kevin Kolb nor backup Mike Kafka could have played after that.

Reid seemed to want to make sure Vick didn't throw any passes, perhaps aggravating his rib cartilage injury. This might cast some doubt on a possible Vick return this coming week at Tennessee.

Reid grew testy when repeatedly questioned about reporting times for games. "I told him to be here at 12:15, and he showed up at 12:15. That was it. Don't worry about it. Enjoy the win," Reid said.

The Fox cameras that would have been trained on Vick the whole day had to find other prey.
