January 17, 2011

Athan Iannucci's two goals and two assists weren't enough as the Wings lost to the Buffalo Bandits, 9-6, in a National Lacrosse League game at the Wells Fargo Center Saturday night.

The Wings (0-2) were tied, 3-3, after the first quarter thanks to two goals by Drew Westervelt and another by Max Seibald. The Bandits, however, scored a goal in each of the next two quarters to take a 5-3 lead.

Iannucci scored both his goals in the fourth quarter, but the Bandits (2-0) countered with four goals to put the game out of reach.
