Sugarloaf Craft Festival

More than 250 artisans will offer their crafts for the Sugarloaf Craft Festival this weekend. Nationally renowned and new artists will display and sell pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, clothing, home-decor items, furniture, and home accessories. The event also will feature art demonstrations. Admission is $9; $7 online, free for children under 12. The show opens at 10 a.m. each day and closes at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave., Oaks. Dublin comes to Ambler

Act II Playhouse will host a celebration of Irish culture with a night of music, poetry, and food. The pan-Celtic rock band Barleyjuice will headline the event, which also features recitations of Celtic verses and stories told by local actors. While the tribute is free, donations will be accepted for Act II's forthcoming production of The Pride of Parnell Street, which opens Tuesday. The Saturday celebration begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Act II Playhouse, 56 E. Butler Ave., Ambler. Information: 215-654-0200; www.act2.org.

A walk for clean water in Kenya

Keiyo Soy Ministries will hosts its second annual Walk for Water - Walk for Life 5K walk/run. Keiyo Soy is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality and availability of water in Kenya. Paul Tergat, a noted Kenyan marathon runner and United Nations goodwill ambassador, is scheduled to participate. The 5K is in Fairmount Park, and registration will be held behind the Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Registration is $30, $20 for students, and $10 for seniors. David Bromberg Big Band

Master roots musician David Bromberg will perform at the Keswick Theatre with his big band of folk, blues, bluegrass, and country musicians. Angel Band, a female vocal trio led by Bromberg's wife, will open the show. Bromberg recently received the Spirit of Folk award from the Folk Alliance International. Tickets are $34.50 and $42.50 for the show, which begins at 8 p.m. at the Keswick Theatre, 291 Keswick Ave., Glenside. Information: 215-572-7650; www.keswicktheatre.com.

'Our History Is Our Strength'

In celebration of Women's History Month, the Philadelphia History Museum will present "Our History Is Our Strength." The program allows visitors to view artifacts that celebrate the accomplishments of local women from the centennial through the suffragette movement and beyond. Each tour lasts one hour.
