Actress Elizabeth Taylor was an eight-time bride, who had only one marriage that lasted more than six years - the first of her two to actor Richard Burton.

Divorce ended all the unions except for the one with Michael Todd, who died.

Here's her mate-ography.

1. Conrad 'Nicky' Hilton (1950-1951). Son of hotel magnate Conrad Hilton, stepson of Zsa Zsa Gabor. He remarried once.

2. Michael Wilding (1952-1957). She had two sons, Michael and Christopher, with the British actor. She was the second of his four wives.

3. Michael Todd (1957-1958). Theater and film producer won best picture Oscar in 1956 for Around the World in 80 Days. Taylor was pregnant with daughter Liza at the time of the marriage. He was killed in a plane crash about a year later.

4. Eddie Fisher (1959-1964). Philadelphia singing star Eddie Fisher scandalously divorced his first wife, actress Debbie Reynolds, to marry Taylor. He fathered actress Carrie Fisher with Reynolds, actress Joely Fisher with his third wife, singer Connie Stevens. Married two more times.

5 & 6. Richard Burton (1964-1974 and 1975-1976). Taylor twice married and divorced her costar of Cleopatra and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? They adopted a daughter, Maria. He was married once before Taylor, twice after.

6. John Warner (1976-1982). The Virginia Republican began a 30-year career in the U.S. Senate during their marriage. He was married once before Taylor, once after.

7. Larry Fortensky (1991-1996). The actress married the construction worker at Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch.
