Holy Family University on Friday named R.C. Kehoe as men's basketball coach to replace John O'Connor, who resigned in February after a videotaped conflict with a former player at practice.

Kehoe, a nephew of St. Joseph's coach Phil Martelli, recently finished his fifth season as an assistant with Delaware. He is a graduate of Roman Catholic High and played on the team that won Catholic League titles in 1993, 1994, and 1996. He has a bachelor's degree from Shippensburg, where he began his career as an assistant from 2002. Kehoe also was an assistant at St. Francis and Maryland-Baltimore County.

O'Connor resigned after a video surfaced on the Internet showing the coach pushing former player Matt Kravchuk at practice, knocking him to the floor, and kicking him while he was down. Kravchuk left the team and sought criminal charges, but prosecutors declined to file charges.
