Woman charged with fatal stabbing in Camden

An 18-year-old woman was charged with murder Monday in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Camden man at a liquor store Friday night, officials said Tuesday.

Danyell Williams of Camden is accused of attacking Leonard Carstarphen, 23, in the doorway of International Liquors on the 200 block of Marlton Pike about 10:40 p.m., the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Camden police said. Carstarphen was stabbed several times.

Williams and others were involved in a fight with Carstarphen on Federal Street shortly before the killing. Williams, who was being held Tuesday on $750,000 bail in the Camden County Jail, and a group went to the liquor store to confront Carstarphen, police said.
