Police have released the name of a Northeast man gunned down Wednesday night in West Philadelphia.
He was Joseph Pinkney, 40, of the 7400 block of Rockwell Avenue.
Pinkney was shot in the chest and hand about 8:15 p.m. in the 5100 block of Race Street.
He was pronounced dead at 8:38 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
