Villanova's Brian Tetreault and Samuel Ellison: Tetreault, a junior and graduate of Cinnaminson High School, and former Upper Dublin star Ellison were pivotal members of the victorious men's distance medley relay team. Tetreault led off with a time of 2 minutes, 57.86 seconds for 1,200 meters and Ellison clocked 1:51.03 in the 800, two days after coach Marcus O'Sullivan moved him from the 400 to the 800 because of an injury.

It was the first time for both athletes running at the Penn Relays for Villanova.

"You know what was so good when I told them they were on the team?" O'Sullivan said. "Brian had kind of a wry smile, like he was saying: 'I want it.' You've got to want it. If you get nervous, get jittery, you've got no business being out there. That was the one exciting thing I had.

"Sam Ellison came into my office, and I asked: 'Are you OK moving from the quarter to the [800]?' He said, 'No problem, I'm going to relish it.' "
