Eagles' Graham weighs in on Tressel resignation

We don't want to say that former Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham, the Eagles' first-round pick in 2010, was gloating yesterday after the resignation of Ohio State coach Jim Tressel.

But clearly the rivalry will change without "The Vest" walking the Buckeyes' sideline. Tressel was 9-1 against Michigan with the only loss coming in 2003, by 35-21 in Ann Arbor. That was the last year that Michigan won an outright Big Ten title.

Graham grew up in Detroit and played for the Wolverines, so his Big Blue ties run deep.

"If Ohio State didn't have cheat in their blood I would give it to y'all and say I'm 0-4, so NCAA gone have to take their wins away!!" Graham tweeted.

Now it will be Michigan's Brady Hoke vs. Ohio State's Luke Fikell, the first time both both schools will have new coaches in the same year since 1929. Not exactly Woody Hayes vs. Bo Schembechler.

Graham, who is in California rehabbing a torn ACL, also offered this: "I'm kinda mad Tressel had to resign because I don't want people saying if we had Tressel, Michigan wouldn't have beat Ohio State this year!!!"

"Ohio State is in a world of trouble this year. Ohio State fans should be crying because that streak is over. Go Blue."
