12 DEAD, 1 WOUNDED

IN NORTH PHILA. SHOOTING

Two men were killed and a third was injured in a daylight shooting on the streets of North Philadelphia yesterday.

Police said that the men were on Oxford Street near 24th when they were fired upon about 3 p.m. The first victim, a 30-year-old man, was shot once in the head, three times in the chest and twice in his left arm. He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 3:37 p.m., police said.

The second victim, 35, was shot once in his head and once in his chest and taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:47 p.m., according to police. The third victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot once in the foot and placed in stable condition at Temple.

Authorities did not release the names of the deceased last night, pending family notification.

2MAN AND BOY, 14, WOUNDED

A 14-year-old boy was one of the victims of a double shooting Saturday night in North Philadelphia, according to police.

About 10:45 p.m., a 23-year-old man on 23rd Street near Diamond was shot once in the chest and once in the right leg, police said. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he remained in critical condition yesterday.

Also injured in the shooting was the 14-year-old, who suffered a single gunshot to his left foot. He was taken to Temple in stable condition, police said.

There were no arrests in the case as of yesterday, police said.

3TEENAGER SHOT 6 TIMES

A teenager is fighting for his life after being riddled with bullets in North Philadelphia Saturday night.

About 11:30 , the 17-year-old was on 28th Street near Cecil B. Moore Avenue when he was shot twice in the stomach, twice in his left leg, once in his right leg and once in his left arm. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he remained yesterday in critical condition.

4MAN HURT IN HIT-RUN

A hit-and-run in Holmesburg early Saturday left a young man in critical condition, police said.

About 2 a.m., the 21-year-old victim was on Frankford Avenue near Stanwood Street when he was hit by a red pickup truck, police said. The truck fled after the collision; the victim was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale hospital, where he remained in critical condition yesterday.

5WOMAN, MAN SHOT OUTSIDE BAR

A woman was critically injured outside a Hunting Park bar early Saturday in a double shooting, police said.

About 2 a.m., someone opened fire outside of a bar on Fairhill Street near Hunting Park Avenue, police said. Injured in the shooting was a 20-year-old woman, who was hit once in the back. She remained in critical condition yesterday at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

The second victim, a 39-year-old man, was shot once in the back and once in the right arm. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and was reported in stable condition, police said.

62 MEN ARE WOUNDED

IN NORTH PHILA.

A double shooting in North Philadelphia late Friday critically injured one man and sent a second man to the hospital, according to police.

About 11:10 p.m. on Norris Street near 6th, a 26-year-old man was shot once in his hip and an unidentified, second man was shot once in his chest and once in his back, police said. The 26-year-old was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition. The unidentified man was also taken to the same hospital, where he remained in critical condition yesterday, according to police.

HIT ANOTHER WITH CAR

An argument between two women on a street in North Philadelphia Friday ended when one of the women got in her car and ran the other over, police said.

About 10:20 p.m. on 18th Street near Huntingdon, a 32-year-old woman got out of her car when she saw a 36-year-old woman she had issues with, police said.

After the two exchanged words, the younger woman got back in car and hit the older one with her vehicle, dragging her for several blocks, police said.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital with head and face trauma, police said.

The angry motorist, whose identity was not released, was taken into custody at the scene, police said.

The nature of the women's dispute was not immediately clear.

8MAN SLAIN IN S. PHILA.

Police last night were investigating a homicide last night in South Philadelphia.

An 18-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Etting Street near Dickinson.

He was pronounced dead there at 6:30 p.m. No weapon was recovered and no arrests were immediately reported.

2 HURT IN WILMINGTON SHOOTINGS

Police say two men were wounded in separate shootings in Wilmington over the weekend. One victim was in critical condition.

Police say the first shooting happened Friday night. Three men tried to rob a 20-year-old man.

One man pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the leg. The victim was able to run away and was in stable condition at a hospital.

The next shooting came early Saturday morning when a 27-year-old victim was taken by a car to St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was in critical condition.
