Thug life Martin Scorsese detailed both gangster glamour and grime in his 1990 masterpiece Goodfellas, about the rise and fall of a small-time hood connected to the mob. Two scenes are unforgettable: The long tracking shot of the young wiseguy escorting his date to a front-row table via an underground passageway, and the long sequence in which the mobster, now dealing drugs and addled by his wares, is tormented by pursuers both real and imagined. The film screens at 7 p.m. at the Ambler Theater, 108 E. Butler Ave., Ambler. Tickets are $9.75; $7.25 for seniors and students. Call 215-646-2550. The film also screens at the County Theater, 20 E. State St., Doylestown, at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $9.50; $7 for seniors and students. Call 215-345-6789.
