Terrence dreams of a career in professional football someday. For now, the 11-year-old is involved in a variety of activities. Like many boys his age, he enjoys playing football and basketball, skateboarding, and riding his bike. When he is indoors, he frequently can be found playing video games, watching television, and listening to R&B and rap music. He also enjoys using computers.

Although Terrence can be a little shy when meeting new people, he soon warms up, especially when the conversation involves football or video games. In school, Terrence receives special-education services and benefits from the small class size and individual attention. Computer and physical education are the classes he enjoys most.

Therapy is helping Terrence cope with issues resulting from the many separations and losses he has experienced. Eager to have a permanent home, he would thrive with a loving, patient family that would provide a stable, structured environment for him. He is very close to his younger brother, although they do not reside together, and it is important that they remain in contact. Terrence is eligible for financial subsidy.

He and other children are available for adoption by approved applicants. For a free information packet, contact the National Adoption Center, 1500 Walnut St., Suite 701, Philadelphia 19102. Call 215-735-9988, or visit the website at www.adopt.org.
