Police on Wednesday identified the driver of the vehicle in which four Chester County teenagers were killed during the weekend.
After interviewing a witness who was with the four at a diner before the crash, police identified the driver as Collin F. McElroy, 16, of Honey Brook. He also owned the 1994 Honda Prelude, police said.
McElroy was killed early Sunday along with Kyle Marsh, 17, of Coatesville, who was in the front-passenger seat, and Evans S. Pringle, 15, of Coatesville, and Jerry Warfel, 14, of Honey Brook, who were in the back. The four, all students at Coatesville Area High School, were thrown from the car in the crash on Route 82 near the intersection with Route 322 in Chester County.
