HARRISBURG - Gov. Corbett's transportation funding commission is suggesting a mixture of revenue sources to generate about $2.5 billion in additional annual spending on roads, bridges and mass transit.
The commission's votes Monday in Harrisburg supported increased wholesale taxes on oil companies, higher vehicle and driver registration fees and a dedicated fraction of sales taxes.
Its final report to the governor is due Aug. 1.
The annual cost for each Pennsylvania driver isn't expected to be more than $132.
