Winslow Township Animal Control officers have removed 46 pit bulls from an owner who repeatedly was cited for failing to provide suitable shelter, officials announced Monday.
The dogs, including nine puppies, are being kept at an undisclosed location after authorities took them from the Norcross Road property of Ivan Murray on Sunday. Murray surrendered the dogs after a court hearing last week. The New Jersey SPCA assisted in relocating the dogs, according to police.
Anyone interested in adopting a pit bull may contact Animal Control at 609-561-3300, Ext. 1063, authorities said. Donations of dog food may be dropped off at the police department, 125 S. Route 73.
