Police in Montgomery County are seeking the party responsible for fatally shooting 16-year-old Dominique Devlin early Wednesday morning in the 1100 block of DeKalb Street, Norristown.

Officers were called to Green and E. Basin Streets at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday. Devlin was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The Montgomery County Coroner's Office said Wednesday that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds; the manner of death homicide.

The Norristown Police Department and the Montgomery County Detective Bureau are investigating. Police said they were trying to learn why Devlin was targeted, but it did not appear to be that she was caught in a crossfire.

Anyone with information may call Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3368.
